“I do not feel happy at all (for the death of Osama bin Laden) or jubilation,” said George W. Bush in a special interview with National Geographic, as quoted by Rediff on Thursday (28/07/2011).
Bush admitted he was in a restaurant with his wife, Laura. At that time, President Barack Obama called him before it was officially announced to the American people.
“I feel relieved. And I pay tribute because justice has been upheld,” he said.
In the interview, Bush feels like hell when visiting the location of WTC Building destroyed by terrorist attack.
“When seen from the air, (WTC) looks like a gaping wound and when arrived at the location, it feels like in hell,” said Bush, who tells his feelings to visit the World Trade Center three days after the attack.
At the time of attack 9 / 11 happened, Bush admitted he was worried about the existence of his wife and children. He also admitted the attack will never be forgotten by the U.S., as well as the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in World War II.
Just to note, Bush did not want to answer reporters questions or the interviewee in particular, after the death of Osama. Reportedly he refused 500 interview requests about Osama’s death.
Planned that interview will be aired on 28 August, as the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attack on WTC Building 2001.
